Phalaenopsis Orchid [Phalaenopsis spp.]

Product Description Aloha! I’m the Phalaenopsis Orchid — also called the “moth orchid” because of my elegant, fluttering blooms. I’m one of the world’s most beloved orchids, and I’ve been brightening Hawaiian homes and gardens since the 1800s. With long-lasting flowers, graceful foliage, and a surprisingly easygoing nature, I bring beauty and calm wherever I grow. In Hawaiian culture, I symbolize grace and love — often woven into leis or used in ceremonial arrangements. My blooms come in dazzling shades of white, pink, purple, and yellow, and they can last for months. Though I don’t arrive with flowers just yet, with a little patience and care, I’ll put on a show you won’t forget. Many think I’m a high-maintenance diva, but I’m actually quite adaptable. I thrive in bright, indirect light, and I prefer to dry out a bit between waterings. My aerial roots help me breathe and absorb moisture just like I would in the wild, nestled in the branches of tropical trees. With the right conditions, I’ll bloom again and again! What You’ll Get One (1) live Phalaenopsis Orchid seedling in a 2-inch starter pot. These are young plants, so no blooms yet — but they’re healthy, rooted, and ready to grow! Care Tips Light: Bright, indirect sunlight — avoid harsh afternoon rays Water: Allow planting media to dry slightly between waterings Fertilizer: Use a balanced orchid fertilizer every 2–4 weeks during growth Growth Rate: Moderate — expect blooms in 6–12 months Other Notes: Grows best in Zones 10–11; loves humidity but adapts well indoors
