Petsafe Gentle Leader Quick Release Red Headcollar for Dogs

DescriptionHelp improve your furry friend’s leash manners with PetSafe Gentle Leader Padded No Pull Dog Headcollar! This no-pull training tool is designed by veterinary behaviorist and is paw-fect for dogs who pull. The headcollar goes around your canine companion’s nose and interrupts his natural instinct to pull against pressure by gently moving his head towards you, allowing him to refocus his attention on you and away from distractions like other animals or people. Since the head collar secures around the nose, it will not fit short-nosed dogs like pugs or bulldogs. If you do have a short-nosed paw-tner, check out PetSafe’s Easy Walk No-Pull Dog Harness (sold separately)! And while the Gentle LEader Padded No Pull Dog Headcollar rests on your furry sidekick’s snout, it does not work like a muzzle—in fact, your buddy will be able to eat, drink water and even catch his favorite toy! To get your dog used to the headcollar, let him wear it without a leash attached, while he does all his favorite activities. Once he’s accustomed to walk etiquette, you may be able to simply use the headcollar as a backup during situations that require a little more control, like visits to the vet! Why We Love It This effective no-pull headcollar is designed to help improve walks with your canine companion. It is vet recommended and designed by a veterinary behaviorist! Your pup will still be able to have full-range of motion while wearing this headcollar. He will be able to drink, eat, pant and even catch his favorite toy! Rests across your canine companion's nose, interrupting his natural instinct to pull against pressure. Constructed from durable nylon with a padded neoprene nose loop for ultimate canine comfort. This headcollar won’t fit furry friends with short snouts, like pugs or bulldogs. Features a quick-snap neck strap and an adjustable nose loop for easy fitting in minutes. It is designed with minimal straps to keep your canine cool. Sizing To select the most accurate size collar for your pet, measure the center of their neck with a cloth tape measure, a few inches down from their head. Pull the cloth tape measure snug, but not tight. If you don't have a cloth tape measure, you can use a piece of string and measure it with a rigid ruler afterwards. Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your pet’s neck for comfort.
