All of these stones are gemstones we have carried or do carry now on other pendants & I'll give you a brief description here. Mineralogical and Metaphysical Properties of Clear Quartz Crystal The word crystal comes from the Greek word "krystallos", meaning ice. The Greeks found quartz crystals high in the frigid Alpine mountains, and Pliny (c. 62-113 A.D.), the foremost historian and mineralogist of his time, believed quartz crystal was ice that had frozen so hard it would never thaw. Quartz crystals have been used by healers, spiritual teachers, and scientists of the sacred throughout history to receive, transmit, store, focus, amplify, transform and balance the various forms of energy found in our Universe, all of which can be considered to be interchangeable forms of Universal Light. Quartz crystals have this marvelous ability because, metaphysically, quartz crystal expresses the unity of the five elements (Earth,Air, Fire, Water, and Ether or Spirit).Crystals grow deep in the earth and form much of the earth’s crust, yet crystals, like the element air, allow light to pass through them. Crystals are fiery in that they have piezoelectric properties yet they are watery in their hexagonal molecular structure which resembles snowflakes, and in their ice-like appearance. Crystals are quintessential expressions of the element of Ether or Spirit, which is synonymous with Universal Life Force Energy, the fundamental energy that sustains all forms of energy in the known universe. Thus crystals represent the unity that underlies the apparent multiplicity of material creation, the unity of both material and spiritual worlds. From a metaphysical viewpoint, quartz crystals are cosmic tuning forks, harmonizing the soul, mind, heart and body of the user with the vibrational frequencies of Spiritual worlds – which are after all simply realms of light resonating at a much higher frequency than the material world. Properties of Amethyst Amethyst is the gemstone variety of quartz, produced by the presence of manganese in clear quartz crystal. Increments of iron within the crystal as it formed vary the color of the amethyst, which ranges from pale lilac to deep purple. Amethyst has been popular with royalty, sages, mystics and magicians for centuries. h Crown Jewels and were also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty,” according to the International Colored Gemstone Association. “Leonardo Da Vinci wrote that amethyst was able to dissipate evil thoughts and quicken the intelligence,” according to the ICGA website. “Because amethyst was thought to encourage celibacy and symbolize piety, amethyst was very important in the ornamentation of Catholic and other churches in the Middle Ages. It was, in particular, considered to be the stone of bishops and they still often wear amethyst rings,” continues the ICGA. “In Tibet, amethyst is considered to be sacred to Buddha and rosaries are often fashioned from it.” Amethyst resonates with the energy signature of the Violet Ray and the Violet Flame. In the pantheon of modern day New Age Guides and Teachers, the Count de Saint Germain is called The World Teacher and The Master of the Violet Ray and is thought to communicate mind-to-mind with many, many students around the world. There is thought to be a large contingent of his students alive today in the United States, the center of modern Empire, just as Paris was the center of European Empire at the time of St. Germain. Many New Age students of St. Germain utilize crystals and gemstones in their spiritual practice, for healing and in meditation, in a modern alchemical quest for Higher Self, Higher Mind and Higher Purpose. Modern New Age practice encompasses a belief in the theory of karma and reincarnation. The belief in reincarnation has its roots in the Hindu and Egyptian Mystery School traditions, and is fundamental to the Greek Mystery School Tradition of the pre-Socratic philosophers, as we discuss at great length in the online E-Book Spirits of Stone: A Lightworker's Guide to Crystals for Healing and Meditation. New Age students of the Ancient Wisdom Teachings often utilize crystals and gemstones, along with meditation techniques, Reiki and past life regression therapy to access memories of past lives, and to release the detrimental patterns of behavior, negative emotions and outmoded mental maps of the world imprinted in our cells, our hearts, our minds and our karma from traumas experienced aeons ago. These practices can be supercharged by the use of amethyst and by the invocation of the Violet Flame of St. Germain. Many of these modern acolytes of the Great Alchemist also utilize crystals and gemstones thought to resonate with the energy vibration of the Violet Ray, such as amethyst, under the guidance of Master St. Germain, for purification and to raise the kundalini energy in a quest for Unity Consciousness. Properties of Iolite Iolite (for the third eye chakra) is also considered to be a stone useful in astral travel and shamanic journeying. In addition, Iolite is said to harmonize the male and female aspects within the bearer, to equilibrate the right and left hand sides of the brain, and to facilitate the harmonious expression of love within committed relationships. Properties of Peridot In my work with peridot, I have found it to be a very magical stone, allowing access to the Divine world and work of Nature Spirits, personal Angelic Guides & access to my own Higher Star Self. The color green is associated with the fourth, or heart chakra, the mental body, issues of relationship, universal feelings of unity and compassion, and individual beliefs and values. Metaphysical crystal experts say that peridot radiates a warm, relaxing and cleansing energy, related especially to the third and fourth chakras. Properties of Citrine Deep Golden Citrine (for the third chakra) combines the energy of the Yellow and the Golden Rays, activating the solar plexus chakra. Working on the third chakra, which is the solar plexus chakra, associated in the Western mystery school tradition with the color yellow, citrine strengthens the bearer's energy system and infuses the "hara" center and solar plexus with Universal Life Force Energy, also known as "chi" or "prana" in the Chinese and Hindu systems of energy medicine. An open, healthy Manipura chakra is likened by yogis to a radiant sun, and is a storehouse of the individual's prana, or chi energy. The Manipura chakra is related to issues of empowerment, will, and the ability to manifest one's intentions in the world. A healthy Manipura chakra instills qualities of courage, right action, leadership, self-worth, self-respect, inner radiance, and self-worth. Citrine, a very protective stone, repells negative energies and thoughtforms and helps to cleanse and purify body, mind and aura of unwanted, stuck energies. This gemstone is said to facilitate the opening of the chakras, to stimulate the flow of Universal Life Force Energy throughout the physical, etheric, astral and mental bodies, and to connect the wearer directly with Higher Mind. Light Citrine (for the navel or 2nd chakra) is a powerhouse of energy for your physical body and auric field. Properties of Garnet Garnets have been used for millennia in shamanistic healing and spiritual traditions across the globe, by Native American Indians, Aztecs, Mayans, and African medicine men and healers. Garnet is also one of the stones found in the breastplate of the Israeli High Priest in the Old Testament. Garnets typically are used by spiritual healers to transmute negative energy or stuck energy within a sick person into healthy energy, and to restore the proper flow of life force energy throughout the individual's body. The red color of the garnet indicates its affinity with the root chakra, normally associated with the color red in the Western chakra system. In addition, this garnet works to energize the "hara" center, located about two fingers width below the navel, which is the location where the individual's "chi", "prana" or universal life force energy is stored. The garnet works to equilibrate, cleanse and energize the root chakra and the second chakra, grounding the bearer, strengthening the bearer's self-confidence and sense of physical security, enhancing the sexual energy, the flow of kundalini, and the store of universal life force energy in the physical body. All in all, a very powerful talisman to wear for both beauty, energy, protection & Joy! We often use crystal pendants for psychic protection, purification and to clarify things of a spiritual nature.
