PERUGINO DERUTA: Large Oval Platter

This exquisite piece features the iconic Perugino Deruta pattern derived from the Raffaellesco design—a hallmark of Italian majolica from Deruta. This design has captivated admirers for centuries with its enduring appeal.  Originating in the 16th century, Raffaellesco was inspired by the elegant arabesques found in Raphael’s frescoes. Our Perugino showcases the tail of the iconic Raffaellesco dragon while staying true to the original designs. Each piece pays tribute to Italy’s rich cultural heritage and artistic traditions, offering a timeless connection to its storied past.  Handcrafted in Deruta, a medieval hilltop town renowned for its ceramic mastery since the 12th century, this authentic maiolica (majolica) creation is a testament to the region’s unparalleled artistry.  Each piece is expertly hand-painted by master artisans. It features classic Renaissance colors—royal blue, golden yellow, and deep forest green—creating a striking visual contrast. This vibrant ceramic makes a stunning statement, whether displayed in your kitchen, dining area, or living space.  This earthenware is made with 100% food-safe glazes and colors and reflects centuries of tradition and craftsmanship. While this product is dishwasher safe, we recommend avoiding microwave use, as the ceramic may become hot.  This authentic Deruta ceramic is a true investment in beauty, history, and craftsmanship. It is perfect for elegant gatherings or as a sophisticated accent in your home. Size: 16.5" WIDE X 12.5" DEEP
