Pertronix Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit (MPN: 1581LS)

Enhance performance with a reliable, maintenance-free ignition system. The Pertronix Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit is designed to replace original mechanical points in various applications, including race cars and tractors. This kit has established itself as a leading choice for those seeking a dependable ignition solution. The Ignitor Series utilizes an electronic design that eliminates the need for breaker points and factory electronic ignitions, providing a self-contained and maintenance-free system. One of the key benefits of the Ignitor is its ability to deliver twice the voltage to the spark plugs, which can lead to increased horsepower, improved fuel economy, and extended spark plug life. The system employs rotating cobalt magnets to trigger a Hall Effect integrated circuit, ensuring reliable performance. Additionally, the epoxy molding of the module protects it from dirt, oil, grease, and moisture, enhancing its durability in various environments. Installation is straightforward, and the Ignitor is often referred to as the "stealth" ignition due to its unobtrusive design that fits neatly under the distributor cap without the clutter of a black box. For optimal performance, it is recommended to pair the Ignitor with a Flame Thrower canister coil, further enhancing the ignition system's capabilities.
