PERTEX Printed Wind Jacket - Black

And Wander produces some of the most interesting performance outdoor clothing & accessories on the market today, with highly specialized and technical designs. Founded in 2011 out of a desire to create higher quality and better looking clothing for hiking, camping, and mountaineering, And Wander is lead by designers Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori, who previously worked together at ISSEY MIYAKE. Initially launching as a menswear label, they've since expanded their sizing to include women's and unisex offerings as well. The styles range from the more casual to the most hardcore technical apparel you can find, with each garment including an illustration of 1-3 mountains on the tag that denote its overall "field level" of performance. Pieces with only one mountain are suitable for everything from the city to the campground, two mountains work for more intense hikes and outings, & styles with three mountains are equipped for the most serious inclement weather and seasonal intensity. Another of And Wander's high-performance pieces, the PERTEX Wind Jacket is a hooded zip parka with a unique printed body, reflective stitching, and an attached packing pouch for easy storage. The fit is fairly relaxed, cut as a shell to layer over your other pieces, with two zip hand pockets and elasticated cuffs. The hood features a tall neck, a short cap, and two drawstrings for maximum protection without additional bulk. The pattern on the body is an original design, a digital photograph of rocks with a "noise" filter processed over it before being printed onto the garment. It's made from 100% nylon PERTEX, a durable and water-repellent mini ripstop fabric with an exceptionally light weight and fine hand. These fit true to size with an adjustable waistband.
