A juice groove runs around the edge to catch liquids while you carve and serve. Why You'll Love It Picture the board out on the counter when company arrives. Someone is slicing, someone is reaching in, and the crest in the middle says exactly whose home this is. That is what this personalized walnut cutting board is made for. The design sets a single initial inside a laurel-framed shield, the family name spelled out below, and the established year beneath. It reads like an heirloom rather than a novelty. A gift like this tells someone their home and their name are worth marking. Each board is cut from solid walnut, with a juice groove carved around the edge to catch liquids while carving meats, slicing bread, or building a cheese board. The crest is laser engraved, so it stays sharp and will not fade or peel with use. It makes a great wedding, housewarming, milestone anniversary, or family gift and orders ship within 24 hours. Helpful Details The crest, family name, and year are engraved on the front face, centered, with the initial set inside a laurel shield. The board measures 14 by 9.5 by 0.5 inches, a serving and carving size that also displays well on a counter or shelf. Hand wash with mild soap, dry flat, and oil now and then with a food-safe board conditioner to keep the wood in good shape. The design is a laurel monogram crest centered on the face: a shield topped with a fleur-de-lis and flanked by laurel branches, a single initial inside the shield, the family name below, and an established year shown as EST. followed by the year. Personalization is laser engraved and includes the initial, the family name, and the established year, all centered on the front face. The crest artwork, including the shield, fleur-de-lis, and laurel branches, is a fixed part of the design, and EST. appears before the year. No other fixed text appears on the board.
