Peri Peri Peppers

Also known as bird’s eye, African devil, or African red devil peppers, the Peri-Peri is known to be Africa’s hottest pepper. The peppers are green when they are young and bright red or purple when they mature. Though they are small, they pack a mighty punch with a 175,000 rating on the Scoville scale (which measures the hotness of chili peppers). The chili is most commonly used in sauces, and combined with other spices and seasonings.
