SAM Splint Moldable Foam/Aluminum, Orange/Blue, 4 x 18 InchThe SAM Splint is a trusted first aid and emergency medical tool used by clinicians, athletic trainers, outdoor professionals, and first responders. This 4 x 18 inch version features a durable foam-covered aluminum core in a bold orange and blue color combination, making it easy to locate in a medical kit during high-stress situations. Its lightweight, flat design allows for compact storage while still offering the strength needed to immobilize an injured limb. Constructed with two layers of closed-cell foam surrounding a flat, O-temper aluminum core, this splint can be shaped by hand to fit almost any body contour, from wrists and ankles to elbows and fingers. The malleable aluminum interior holds its form once molded, providing reliable, custom-fit stabilization for a wide range of injuries. Because the splint can be trimmed with ordinary scissors, users can quickly adapt it to fit pediatric or adult applications without compromising its structural integrity. Beyond its moldable design, this splint is built for repeated use in demanding environments. The closed-pore foam exterior can be cleaned and disinfected with a simple bleach-and-water solution, making it a practical, reusable choice for clinics, ambulances, and outdoor emergency kits. It is also weather resistant, ensuring reliable performance in variable field conditions. Medical professionals can leave the splint in place during X-rays and CT scans, streamlining diagnostic imaging without delaying patient care. Whether stocking a first aid kit, EMS bag, or wilderness medicine pack, this SAM Splint offers a versatile, dependable solution for temporary limb immobilization and injury stabilization.
