Allow the wax to melt to the edges of your vessel before extinguishing the flame. This prevents the candle from tunneling.  To prevent fire and injury: Never leave a burning candle unattended.  Always burn on a heat resistant surface. Keep wax pool free of debris.  Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable objects.  Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
