Pepino Melon

Pepino melons, also known as pepinos or melon pears, are a type of fruit that is native to South America. They are round or oblong in shape and have a smooth, green skin with white or yellow spots. The flesh is juicy, sweet and has a mild melon flavor. Pepinos are typically eaten fresh, cut into slices or cubes and can be added to fruit salads, smoothies or used as a garnish for cocktails and desserts.   To store pepino melons, keep them at room temperature until they are fully ripe, then refrigerate for up to a week.   A simple recipe for Pepino Melon is to make a salsa. To do this, remove the skin, seeds and dice the flesh of the pepino melon, mix it with diced tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste. Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled fish or chicken.   (OVERNIGHT SHIPPING DOES NOT MEAN YOUR PRODUCT SHIPS NEXT MORNING!
