Pentair Inline Strainer Filter | 522010Z

Product Overview The Pentair 522010Z Inline Strainer Filter is a compact, high-precision filter assembly designed to protect chemical control systems (such as IntelliChem®/IntelliPh®) from debris, scale, and particulate contamination. With ¼″ female NPT threading and robust construction, this strainer ensures reliable flow and protects downstream sensors and valves by trapping unwanted material before it can interfere with system operation. Ideal For Service professionals installing or replacing chemical control systems who need an OEM-specified strainer for accurate flow and sensor protection. Pool owners whose automation or chemical feed systems are experiencing faults or reduced performance and where debris in the feed line is suspected. Installations where the integrity of flow sensors, valves, and sample cells must be maintained to ensure reliable chemical dosing. Any pool or spa equipment pad where proper strainer filtration is required on the chemical feed line to prevent maintenance issues. Key Features ¼″ FNPT Threaded Ports – compact female threads designed for precision plumbing connections. OEM-Compatible with Pentair Chemical Control Systems – ensures proper fit and performance in IntelliChem®/IntelliPh® setups. Durable Construction – built for long-term use in pool and spa environments with chemical exposure. Protects Downstream Sensors and Valves – helps extend life of critical system components by keeping debris out of the flow path. Compact, Easy to Install – designed for minimal footprint and straightforward replacement on existing plumbing. Cost-Effective Maintenance Upgrade – addresses flow integrity and sensor reliability without replacing major control modules. Customer-Facing Q&A Q: Why do I need this strainer filter on my chemical control system? A: The strainer protects your system’s flow cell, sensors and valves from debris that can cause malfunctions, sensor faults, or flow disruptions—helping maintain consistent chemical dosing and system reliability. Q: Will this fit my system’s plumbing? A: Yes—this model has ¼″ FNPT female threads. Confirm your system uses ¼″ ports or appropriate adapters. Q: Is installation difficult? A: Installation is straightforward for a qualified technician: shut off power and water flow, remove the old unit, install the 522010Z, purge air, and restore system operation. Q: How often should I service or clean this? A: It depends on system usage and water quality—but visually inspecting and cleaning the strainer screen annually (or more frequently with high debris loads) helps maintain optimal performance. Q: Will this improve my chemical controller’s performance? A: Yes—by keeping the flow clean and consistent, the controller can sense and dose more accurately, reducing faults and improving reliability.
