A: It provides the mounting interface for the chemical controller’s manifold on a 2-inch pipe run, ensuring the feed and sensor placement meet manufacturer requirements. Q: Which systems is this compatible with? A: It is compatible with Pentair IntelliChem® and IntelliPh® control systems when used with 2-inch plumbing and a check-valve. Q: Do I need any other parts to install this? A: Ensure you have the required check-valve, tubing, and manifold as specified in the chemical controller’s installation instructions. The saddle clamp is the pipe mounting accessory only. Q: How difficult is the installation? A: The saddle installs by clamping onto the existing 2″ piping — minimal plumbing adaptation is required if correctly sized. Always follow power and chemical safety guidelines. Q: Why should I use the OEM clamp rather than a generic one? A: Using the OEM-specified clamp ensures proper factory mounting and alignment, maintaining the chemical control system’s warranty compliance and accurate flow sensing.
