Pentair A&A Light Gray G4V Complete Head with Riser | 221002

Product Overview The Pentair A&A G4V Complete Cleaning Head with Riser 221002 is a genuine OEM replacement assembly designed for compatible A&A Manufacturing and Pentair in-floor pool cleaning and circulation systems. Finished in light gray, this complete head is intended to blend with many light-colored plaster, pebble, quartz, and aggregate pool finishes. The G4V uses a patented Venturi-powered design and a specialized laminar flow path to improve water movement across the pool surface. During operation, the head rises from the pool floor and directs a controlled stream of water that helps move dirt and debris toward the drain or collection system. When the cleaning zone shuts off, the head retracts for a low-profile appearance. Unlike a replacement internal assembly alone, part 221002 includes the cleaning head components and riser required for a complete installation. Pentair lists the package as including the internal assembly, floor fitting, color ring, slurry cap, riser, and Protecta foam. This makes it suitable for new construction, renovations, or replacement of a complete damaged G4V assembly. Key Features Genuine Pentair A&A replacement assembly G4V Venturi in-floor cleaning technology Complete cleaning head with riser Light gray finish Retractable pop-up design Promotes floor-level circulation Helps direct debris toward the collection system Designed to operate at reduced flow and pressure Chemical-resistant molded construction Suitable for new installations and renovations Includes Protecta foam and installation components Direct replacement for Pentair part number 221002 Benefits The G4V design combines cleaning and circulation at the pool floor, where debris commonly settles and colder, chemically treated water may remain. Improved floor-level circulation can help distribute heated and sanitized water more evenly throughout the pool. Its Venturi design uses surrounding pool water to increase the effective cleaning stream without requiring all water movement to come directly from the pump. Pentair states that G4V heads can circulate and clean at reduced pump speeds, lower flow rates, and lower operating pressures compared with conventional designs. This may improve overall system performance when the complete in-floor system is properly designed and adjusted. The included light gray color ring allows the assembly to blend more naturally with compatible pool finishes. Because the riser and supporting installation components are included, this package is more complete than a head-only replacement. Confirm the existing plumbing layout and system type before removing any installed components. The floor fitting and riser must be installed at the correct finished height for the pool surface. Improper height or alignment can prevent the head from retracting properly or create an uneven finished appearance. The included slurry cap helps protect the fitting during pool finishing. After installation, operate the cleaning system and confirm that the head rises, rotates, retracts, and receives adequate flow. Professional installation by a technician experienced with A&A in-floor systems is recommended.
