Pentair IntelliFlo VSF Drive Assembly Kit with Keypad | 356971Z

Product Overview The Pentair IntelliFlo VSF Drive Assembly Kit with Keypad 356971Z is a genuine OEM replacement drive designed for compatible Pentair IntelliFlo VSF variable-speed and variable-flow pool pumps. This complete replacement assembly combines the electronic motor drive and operator keypad, restoring pump programming, speed control, flow control, scheduling, diagnostics, and automation communication when the original drive has failed or sustained damage. The drive is the primary electronic control component of the pump. It regulates motor operation and allows the pump to maintain programmed speeds or flow rates for filtration, heating, sanitation, cleaning, and water-feature applications. Professional diagnosis is strongly recommended before replacement because a blank display, communication error, or non-operating pump may also be caused by incorrect voltage, damaged wiring, motor failure, moisture intrusion, or another electrical issue. Key Features Genuine Pentair OEM replacement kit Complete IntelliFlo VSF drive assembly Includes operator keypad Restores variable-speed and variable-flow operation Supports pump programming and scheduling Provides access to speed and flow settings Maintains onboard diagnostics and fault reporting Supports compatible Pentair automation communication Designed as a direct replacement for compatible original drives Intended for professional pump repair and servicing Kit Includes IntelliFlo VSF electronic drive assembly Digital operator keypad Factory-installed drive components Associated drive housing components supplied by Pentair Only components packaged by the manufacturer should be assumed to be included. Reuse of existing hardware, wiring, communication cable, seals, or mounting components may be required depending on the pump configuration. Compatible Pump Family The 356971Z is intended for select pumps in the: Pentair IntelliFlo VSF variable-speed and variable-flow pump family Compatibility must be confirmed using the pump’s full model number, serial number, production date, and original drive part number. Pentair has manufactured multiple IntelliFlo generations that may look similar but use different motors, drives, keypads, wiring connections, and communication systems. Not Universally Compatible This drive assembly should not be assumed to fit: Every IntelliFlo pump IntelliFlo3 pumps IntelliFlo i1 pumps IntelliFlo VS+SVRS pumps IntelliFloXF pumps IntelliPro pumps Older IntelliFlo variable-speed models Pumps with different motor or drive configurations Do not order based only on the IntelliFlo name or the physical appearance of the existing pump. Common Reasons for Replacement The drive assembly may require replacement when the pump experiences: Blank or nonresponsive keypad Repeated drive fault messages Pump will not start despite proper incoming power Speed or flow settings cannot be programmed Motor operation is intermittent Automation system cannot communicate with the pump Visible corrosion or moisture damage Burned or damaged electronic components Keypad and drive failure Electrical surge damage A keypad or communication problem does not automatically confirm that the complete drive has failed. Proper electrical and pump diagnostics should be performed before ordering. Confirm Before Ordering Verify the pump’s complete model number. Record the pump serial number and production date. Confirm the original drive part number. Verify that the pump is an IntelliFlo VSF model. Compare all wiring and communication connections. Confirm that the motor is operational and compatible. Verify incoming voltage before replacing the drive. Inspect the pump for moisture intrusion or corrosion. Do not purchase solely because the keypad is blank. Installation should be completed by a qualified pool-equipment professional. Installation Information Turn off and lock out all electrical power before servicing the pump. Variable-speed pump drives contain high-voltage components that may retain electrical energy after power has been disconnected. The technician should inspect: Incoming electrical voltage Grounding and bonding Motor condition Drive-to-motor connections Communication wiring Keypad connection Drive housing and seals Evidence of water intrusion Pump shaft movement Existing fault history After installation, the drive must be programmed for the pool’s plumbing, equipment, schedules, and operating requirements. Automation communication may also need to be reconfigured. Warranty Information This genuine Pentair replacement component is covered according to Pentair’s applicable replacement-parts warranty terms. Warranty eligibility may depend on: Correct product application Professional installation Proof of purchase Proper electrical supply Correct pump configuration Compliance with Pentair installation procedures Damage caused by incorrect voltage, electrical surges, moisture intrusion, improper wiring, incompatible equipment, freeze damage, unauthorized repairs, or installation on the wrong pump model may not be covered.
