Pentagram Earrings -- Bound in Brass

Dainty and subtle with a moonlight shimmer, these Pentacle Earrings make a great accessory, whether seasonal or as part of your daily magical attire. The pentagram is the most ancient and familiar of star forms. Though popularly identified with magic, witchcraft, and paganism, the history of this symbol is deep and diverse. It has featured in Christian churches and Chinese alchemy, in ritual magic and Pythagorean geometry. It is the symbol of Man, its structure representing the body, the five senses, and the five elements that give it life and form. In neo-paganism and ritual use, the points represent balance and hierarchy of the five elements: earth, air, fire, water, and spirit as the uppermost. In Chinese alchemy, the points represent the cycle or alternation of the elements of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. Across many cultures, the pentagram has endured as a sacred symbol of natural order, health, virtue, and balance. Handmade in the studio with brass and acrylic, with a water-resistant seal.
