Pennsylvania Sedge

Create a natural, low-maintenance landscape with Pennsylvania Sedge. This adaptable native groundcover forms soft, flowing clumps of fine green foliage that resemble a delicate ornamental grass. Its gentle texture blends beautifully into woodland gardens, shaded borders, and naturalized plantings, offering a relaxed, meadow-like appearance. Growing 6-12 inches tall, Pennsylvania Sedge spreads slowly to form a dense, weed-suppressing carpet over time. It performs especially well in partial to full shade and tolerates a wide range of soil conditions, including dry shade once established. This hardy perennial is an excellent eco-friendly alternative to turf grass in low-traffic areas, providing year-round interest with minimal upkeep.
