She is meeting friends at Piccadilly Circus, a busy plaza in the heart of London, England, at the junction of five major streets. It is a popular place for people to congregate before going to the nearby shopping and entertainment areas. For this outing she has chosen to wear her favorite crocheted skirt, made with sock weight yarn. The same yarn is used to crochet a matching vest, beret and socks. The thread blouse she chooses is loose-fitting with buttons and a tie at the neck (and also looks great worn with jeans). As there's going to be a lot of walking, the soft crochet thread loafers are the most comfortable. For all the anticipated purchases, she carries her large thread purse, crocheted on rings using a cross-stitch pattern. This crochet pattern set has the crochet instructions for the sock-weight yarn Skirt, Vest, Beret and Socks; as well as the size 10 crochet thread Blouse, Loafers and Purse. Additional materials needed are elastic (for the Skirt waistband), four buttons for the Blouse front and two smaller buttons for the sleeves, two craft rings for the Purse and then yarn and thread needles. Besides the standard crochet stitches, the special stitches used in this crochet pattern set include a single crochet decrease stitch, Front Post double crochet and Back Post double crochet. Instructions for these special stitches are also included in the crochet pattern. You will need two crochet hooks: Size D-3 (3.25 mm) for using with the yarn and Size C-2 (2.75 mm) or Steel #1 (also 2.75 mm) for using with the crochet thread. The crochet pattern for this 18" doll would also fit the 18" American Girl Doll. GO ON A TRIP WITH THIS ONE OF A KIND CROCHET PATTERN!
