A: Tokaji (pronounced "toe-kye") is a legendary sweet dessert wine from the Tokaj region of Hungary. It is made from grapes affected by "noble rot," which concentrates their sugars and flavors, resulting in a wine known for its rich notes of honey, apricot, and ginger. Q: What is the difference between the two whiskeys in this bundle? A: The 9 Year Tokaji Rye is a 104-proof straight rye whiskey finished in sweet Hungarian Tokaji casks, giving it a honeyed-fruit and spicy profile. The Rosé Cask Finish is a 94-proof four-grain straight bourbon finished in French Rosé wine casks, which imparts delicate red fruit and floral notes. Q: Is the Tokaji Rye a "flavored whiskey"? A: No. All the flavors are derived naturally from the whiskey's maturation in new American oak and its secondary finishing in the Tokaji wine casks. No artificial flavors are added. Q: What is the best way to enjoy these whiskeys? A: Both are complex sipping whiskeys best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to fully appreciate their unique cask-imparted flavors. Q: Where can I purchase the Penelope Tokaji Cask Finish Rye Bundle? A: This is a special offering that will likely be a limited release for 2025. We recommend contacting our preferred retail partner, Nestor Liquor, to inquire about their inventory and availability.
