PEMA Kostner Nativity - Ox & Donkey 8" & 10"

PEMA Kostner Hand-Carved Nativity Ox and Donkey from Val Gardena The PEMA Kostner Ox and Donkey are finely hand-carved nativity figures crafted in Val Gardena, Italy, where Alpine woodcarving traditions have been preserved for generations. Carved from sycamore maple and finished with hand-applied oil paints, these animals bring calm presence, warmth, and symbolic meaning to traditional nativity scenes. The gray donkey is shown standing with its head gently turned to the right, featuring a dark, flowing mane and a natural, attentive posture. Beside it, the large brown ox rests peacefully on the ground, its head facing left, conveying quiet strength and restfulness. Together, these figures reflect the humble stable setting central to the Nativity story. This listing is for the 8 inch and 10 inch Ox and Donkey, which are available as standalone figures and are not part of a nativity set. These larger sizes are ideal for prominent displays or for use as focal animals in expanded nativity arrangements. Additional sizes and finishes may be available upon request.
