Peach State Tall Bearded Iris Rhizome | Fragrant Peach & Salmon Pink Iris

Peach State Tall Bearded Iris Glowing Peach & Salmon Blooms | Fragrant Tall Bearded Iris Warm, luminous, and every bit as lovely as its name suggests, Peach State brings the glowing colors of a perfectly ripened Georgia peach into the spring garden. Shimmering salmon-pink standards rise above beautifully ruffled and heavily crinkled apricot-peach falls. At the heart of each bloom, warm orange beards rest against a distinctive bright white thumbprint, creating a striking little flash of contrast among all those soft peach tones. The combination is romantic without being overly delicate. Peach State seems to glow in the sunlight, shifting between salmon, blush, apricot, and warm peach as the light changes throughout the day. And this iris isn't beautiful only from a distance. Peach State is fragrant, making it an especially lovely choice for planting near patios, pathways, porches, and other places where you can enjoy both its color and scent. Introduced by Schreiner's Gardens in 2022, Peach State blooms from midseason into late season on stately 37-inch stems, extending the iris display as many earlier varieties begin to fade. Rhizomes are shipped dormant or semi-dormant depending on the season. Foliage may be trimmed before shipping, which is normal and does not affect the health or future growth of your iris. Planting Your Iris Choose a location receiving at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day with loose, well-draining soil. Plant the rhizome shallowly with the upper portion sitting at or slightly above soil level. Avoid planting bearded iris too deeply. Space plants approximately 12–18 inches apart to provide room for growth and good air circulation. Water thoroughly after planting to encourage root establishment. Once established, allow the soil to begin drying between waterings and avoid consistently wet conditions around the rhizome. Garden Pairing Ideas Peach State's warm coloring is surprisingly versatile. For a soft, romantic garden, pair it with: Blush and pale pink iris Cream and white flowers Soft lavender Pale yellow Silvery foliage For something more dramatic, combine Peach State with: Deep plum Burgundy Rich purple Nearly black iris Those darker colors make its salmon and apricot tones appear even more luminous. The Blue Buddha Farm Difference We're especially drawn to flowers whose colors are difficult to describe with just one word. Peach State is one of them. Depending on the light, you may notice peach, apricot, salmon, blush, and even creamy highlights within the same bloom. Add its fragrance and beautifully ruffled form, and it's the kind of iris that deserves a spot where you'll see it often. Each rhizome is carefully inspected before leaving Blue Buddha Farm and prepared for its journey to your garden. From Our Garden to Yours There are certain colors that seem to capture sunshine. Peach State does exactly that.
