Peace Basket: Open Bowl

These handcrafted fair trade wall baskets bring bold color, texture, and artisan craftsmanship to gallery walls, entryways, living spaces, and globally inspired home décor. These Rwanda Sisal Baskets are handwoven by skilled artisans using generations-old coil weaving techniques. Traditionally used for winnowing and storing grain, these beautiful baskets have evolved into some of Africa's most beloved decorative wall baskets and home décor accents. Each basket is meticulously crafted from coils of native grasses wrapped in hand-spun sisal fibers. Sisal, a sustainable fiber derived from the agave plant, is carefully processed, spun, and dyed to create the striking patterns and colors that make Rwandan baskets so distinctive. The intricate coil weaving technique requires years of practice to master, with artisans skillfully building each basket one stitch at a time. Beyond their beauty, these baskets tell a powerful story of unity. Rural artisans from across Rwanda, including both Hutu and Tutsi communities, work side by side to create these handcrafted pieces, preserving traditional weaving techniques. Each basket includes a loop on the back for easy hanging. Display individually or mix and match multiple sizes and patterns for a stunning statement wall. Since each basket is handmade, slight variations in pattern, color, and dimensions are part of its authentic artisan charm. Dimensions: 12” Diameter, 3.75” High
