Eterra PDX-1000 Post Driver for Skid Steer The Eterra PDX-1000 post driver uses an enclosed breaker-style mechanism rather than an open drop hammer, which cuts vibration and noise dramatically while driving posts faster and with fewer strikes. Rated for 13–21 GPM, it ships with hydraulic hoses and couplers included and is available with tilt, grapple, or both from Skid Steer Store. Why the Enclosed Breaker Design Wins Far less vibration and noise — the enclosed design absorbs what an open drop hammer transmits into your machine and your ears. Fewer strikes per post — consistent, high-frequency impact drives posts faster than gravity-fed alternatives. Optional hydraulic tilt — plumb posts on uneven ground without repositioning the loader. Optional grapple — hold and align the post from the cab; no second person on the crew. Doubles as a breaker — add the breaker tool for concrete, asphalt, frozen ground and rock. Three head profiles — cupped flat, domed and flat to match what you are driving. Electrical Connector Required for Tilt or Grapple If you order the tilt or grapple feature, you also need an electrical connector matching your loader's auxiliary port — standard, Bobcat 7-pin, 8-pin or 14-pin. See our Eterra Electrical Connectors listing. The base Skid Steer and Excavator configurations do not require one. Common Applications Agricultural and livestock fencing, highway guardrail, sign and delineator posts, vineyard and orchard trellis, solar array posts, dock and marine piling, and silt fence installation. Frequently Asked Questions What hydraulic flow does the PDX-1000 need? 13 to 21 GPM. Machines can exceed 21 GPM but will not run the driver at full RPM. Do I need the tilt option? If you drive posts on anything but level ground, yes. Tilt lets you plumb the post without repositioning the machine, which saves considerable time across a long fence line. What does the grapple do? It holds and aligns the post from the cab, so one operator can set and drive posts without a second person on the ground. Which head profile should I choose? Cupped flat is the general-purpose choice for wood posts. Domed suits pipe and hollow posts. Flat gives broad contact on wide or square posts. Can the PDX-1000 break concrete? Yes, with the add-on breaker tool, which converts the driver into a hydraulic breaker for concrete, asphalt, frozen ground and rock. Order From Skid Steer Store Select your configuration above.
