PDO Polydioxanone Sutures 12pcs pack

DSI Polydioxanone (PDO) suture is preferred among medical practitioners due to its monofilament, synthetic composition, which minimizes irritation and tissue reaction post-implantation compared to natural-origin absorbable sutures. The DSI PDO variant offers numerous advantages over other synthetic absorbable sutures. Notably, it boasts superior tensile strength and flexibility, along with a prolonged tissue approximation period, making it particularly suitable for internal tissues and procedures requiring durable absorbable materials. With its impressive tensile strength and pliability, DSI PDO suture can provide wound support for up to 50 days. DSI PDO Surgical suture is suitable for pediatric cardiovascular, ophthalmic, digestive, plastic/reconstructive, general, and cuticle surgeries, ensuring secure tissue approximation. DSI PDO sutures fulfill the need for extended wound support through a simple hydrolytic process, offering up to 50 days of healing assistance. Typically, these sutures retain 75% of their initial tensile strength after 4 weeks, followed by 50% at 6 weeks, and 25% at 8 weeks, eventually being fully absorbed by the body within 180 days. Indications: Tooth extractions Periodontal surgery Implant surgery oral surgical procedures, including biopsy excisions, frenectomy, apicoectomy, and alveolar ridge preservation Soft tissue grafting Ophthalmic surgeries Plastic and reconstructive surgeries Orthopedic surgeries Features & Benefits: Polydioxanone material - Crafted from high-quality polydioxanone polymer, ensuring biocompatibility and gradual absorption within the body Absorbability - PDO sutures are absorbable, they are broken down and metabolized by the body over time, eliminating the need for suture removal Tensile Strength - Exhibits adequate initial tensile strength to hold wound edges together during the early stages of healing, providing secure wound closure Biocompatible - Biocompatible material minimizes the risk of adverse tissue reactions or inflammation, enhancing patient safety and reducing postoperative complications Versatility - PDO sutures can be used in a wide range of surgical procedures across different specialties due to their versatility and compatibility with various tissue types Gradual degradation - Allows for sustained wound support while facilitating natural tissue healing, with degradation rates suitable for different tissue environments Enhanced patient comfort - Absorbable nature eliminates the need for suture removal, reducing patient discomfort and enhancing overall postoperative experience Sterilize packaging - Each suture is individually packaged and sterilized to ensure compliance with medical standards and reduce the risk of surgical site infections New needle - Equipped with a new improved atraumatic needle for less friction and tissue irritation Technical Information: Characteristics: Monofilament, synthetic, absorbable, sterile Chemical structure: Polydioxanone (PDS/PDO), a synthetic, absorbable polymer Coating: None Color: Violet Wound support: approximately 4-6 weeks Complete resorption: 180-210 days Tensile strength: Approx 78% at 14 days, Approx 70% after 28 days, Approx 58% after 43 days, Approx 41% after 57 days Tissue reaction: Minimal Capillarity: None Shape memory: No Knot security: Excellent Smoothness: Smooth Sawing effect: Limited Needle type: Needle type: 19mm reverse cut 3/8 circle atraumatic The package includes 12 x 75cm sutures in each pack, with a 19 mm atraumatic needle 3/8 circle Sizes for selection: 2/0, 3/0, 4/0, 5/0 USP
