Pattern: Thayer Jacket

The Thayer Jacket is a workwear inspired jacket that will take you from fall to winter with ease. It features a slight A-line shape, roomy patch pockets and inseam yoke pockets, two-piece sleeves, and is fully lined for plenty of warmth. Front princess seams ensure a great fit. Techniques involved include sewing straight and curved seams, setting sleeves flat, bagging a jacket lining, topstitching, inserting buttonholes, and sewing on buttons. DIFFICULTY: Intermediate SIZING: [ 0 - 18 ] Bust Measurements: 32" to 44" [ 14 - 30 ] Bust Measurements: 40" to 56" RECOMMENDED FABRIC: Main fabric: Medium to heavy weight woven fabrics such as denim, twill, corduroy, or canvas. The body lining: warm medium weight fabrics such as cotton shearling, flannel, or even simple cotton. Sleeve lining can be the same as the main lining or softer, warmer quilted cotton.   NOTIONS: Interfacing for collar. 8 jeans buttons measuring 5/8".
