Passing It On

A Road Map for the First 52 Weeks of Your New Life There is a loneliness in many churches, an emptiness that haunts many members even while they are singing in a pew, or in a crowded auditorium. Being present does not make us connected. And without connection, we are simply familiar strangers gathered in a room, singing out of hymnals. We all want the church to be warmer, more loving, more sensitive to needs…more of a family, and at times we are simply standing around looking for someone else to fix us. The simple truth is that the secret to fixing the church requires individuals making a personal investment in one another. We need to focus on a few, pouring out our hearts, loving without limits. The spirit is waiting on us, striving to deliver us from lukewarmness, stagnation, and mediocrity. This book will help solve these problems. Passing it On is designed to be a life-changing tool for the first fifty-two weeks of a new life in Christ. The studies inside can be used for individual devotionals, but when two or three gather and study them out together, applying the scriptures, discussing the questions, confessing sin, and praying together about their resolutions, the impact of these lessons increases, exponentially. For a mature Christian looking to jumpstart your faith, Passing It On is a great refresher course to reignite the passion in your heart; for mentors, it is an invaluable tool to aide in your discipling, and for young Christians, this can be a lifeline, a lifeline to get grounded in the basics and on to maturity in their faith.
