Passersby IV

In Migle Kosinskaite’s work, Passersby IV shows a dark, quiet face emerging from a deep black background. The expression is soft and unreadable, giving the portrait a mysterious calm. The gentle shadows across the features make the figure feel like someone seen for just a moment. The bright red tongue becomes the main point of focus, breaking the dark tones with a sharp flash of color. It adds a playful and slightly strange contrast to the stillness of the face. Thin lines above the head, shaped like small antennae, give the figure a light surreal touch. At its heart, Passersby IV reflects the brief presence of someone who appears and disappears quickly. This idea connects naturally to Passersby V, which offers its own version of a sudden encounter. Together, they form a pair of portraits that show how a quick passing moment can stay in the memory.
