Le P'tit Tradi Paring Knife

Le P'tit Tradi, inspired by an original Goyon-Chazeau design, was created when Madam Goyon asked her husband Gabriel to craft a small, efficient knife for communal meal prep. It became a trusted tool for slicing, cutting, and peeling. In 2022, Magali Soucille, needing a larger knife for bigger tasks, asked her husband Vincent to design Le Grand Tradi. Sharing the same philosophy as its smaller counterpart, Le Grand Tradi is built to handle larger cuts with ease and precision Handmade in the Goyon-Chazeau workshop in Thiers, France, this superior quality knife is made from one of the best cutlery steels available: Sandvik 14C28N steel enriched with carbon. The ebony and sapwood handle is smooth and comfortable in the hand, as any frequently reached-for tool should be. The two-toned wood has marked shades ranging from honey to brown. Also called Mozambic ebony, it is the hardest, densest, and most waterproof of all raw woods. Available in a larger version: take a look at Le Grand Tradi chef knife, too!  Materials:  ebony with sapwood handle, Sandvik 14C28N hardened blade, charged with carbon (56-58HRC) Made by:  Goyon-Chazeau Made in:  France Specifications:   8" total length with a 4" blade 2mm thick full-tang*, laser-cut blade  professional matte finish full-blade cutting edge with plunge line high-cutting performance rivet assembly * Full tang means the blade steel extends the full width and length of the handle. Please note that due to variations in the wood, the coloration of the handle may vary from knife to knife. Yours may look slightly different than the photo.  Care:   We recommend washing the P’tit Tradi by hand with a soft sponge. Do not leave the handle in prolonged contact with water or a heat source. Wood handled knives should never go in the dishwasher.  Wipe off as soon as washing is finished. Store in a dry place. Sharpen the cutting edge as soon as the knife seems to give more resistance when cutting. Further Reading:  Goyon-Chazeau is a third-generation family owned business in Thiers, France.
