Paradise

This nature study, titled “Paradise,” captures a fleeting moment in time. My front yard, like all living things, is ever-evolving. An art studio now stands where the lovely dogwood tree once thrived, before the blight took it. The sprawling hedge of vibrant azaleas still blooms profusely every spring—their hearty persistence a testament to resilience. The towering pines remain majestic, despite the scars left by sap milking for turpentine in days gone by. A stand of bamboo now provides a peaceful backdrop and softens the street noise. Our community, aptly named “Paradise” on the map, truly feels like one, and we are grateful to call it home.
