W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high quality, heritage-inspired garments for women - with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converting shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops & artisans. The F/W '23 collection, titled "Flying in Crosswinds", pays homage in part to Margaret "Maggie" Gee, a physicist and pilot, and one of the only two Chinese-American women to fly as a Women's Airforce Service Pilot (WASP) in WWII. These styles explore the way clothes have been used to reinforce and resist different political ideologies - repurposing and reimagining military styles into functional and flattering workwear. An ultra-utilitarian coverall-skirt, the Para Dungaree is a seriously engineered piece of clothing. Made from a comfortable cotton army twill with sateen trims, it's got a five pocket configuration, adjustable shoulder straps, and an adjustable waistband. The hem features elasticated drawstrings as well, for easy adjustments on the go. Wash cold and hang dry. 100% cotton Japanese army twill and sateen fabrics Adjustable straps Adjustable waistband Adjustable elasticated hem Five pocket configuration Custom woven labels Wash cold and hang dry Made in Thailand
