Papyrus Brown Oak Dining Table

Ø 55.12″ | H. 29.92″ Defined by sculptural form and rich materiality, the Dining Table Papyrus brings timeless elegance to the dining space. Crafted in brown oak veneer with an expressive open grain, its base reinterprets the geometry of an ancient column capital into a contemporary silhouette. Grounded yet graceful, it stands as a distinctive centerpiece for refined interiors. Historic Provenance This design draws from a papyrus-motif capital that once crowned a column in front of the temple of Amun at Hibis in Egypt’s Kharga Oasis (380–343 BCE). The original, now in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, merges papyrus and foxtail flatsedge in one of the earliest examples of composite capitals. Reimagined through Met x Eichholtz, the Papyrus table translates the capital’s rhythm and symmetry into a modern form.
