COBI Panzer VIII Maus Set 2559

There is probably no other tank that has inspired more curiosity and interest in the entire history of mechanized armor than the Panzer VIII “MAUS”. It is surrounded by an aura of mystery, and the facts are mixed about it with the legends surrounding growing over the years. The Panzerkampfwagen VIII "MAUS" was a prototype German super heavy tank from the Second World War. It was the heaviest and largest tank ever built. It weighed over 188 tons! The project was carried out in the years 1942-1944. Only two incomplete prototypes were ever built and never entered service. In April 1945, the Red Army captured both abandoned Maus prototypes, which were located at the Kummersdorf training ground. They were assembled into a vehicle with the hull of the first prototype and the turret of the second. This hybrid is still one of the main attractions of the Tank Museum in Kubinka near Moscow. Panzer VIII "MAUS" #2559 is a very special model in the COBI collection! It was built from the beginning in 1:28 scale and is 39 cm long! Removable covers on the turret and hull give you access to the detailed interior. Removable engine, opening hatches, movable barrel and working tracks are other advantages of this set. The tank presented in the context of its construction at the factory is covered with high-quality prints that do not wear off during intensive use. "MAUS" is a must for enthusiasts of history, armor and the secret weapons of World War II. The beautiful and enormous model will perfectly complement any tank collection, becoming its main attraction. Thanks to the intuitive instructions the construction is simple, but due to the unique design of the interior, a large number of elements and the time needed to assemble the set we do recommend the model to slightly older builders. 1,605 high-quality blocks Produced in the EU by a company with over 20 years of tradition The blocks meet the safety standards of products for children Fully compatible
