Panzer 38(t)

The Panzer 38(t) was a Czech-designed light tank adopted by Germany after the 1939 annexation of Czechoslovakia. Armed with a 37mm gun, it was reliable and effective early in World War II, notably in Poland and France. However, as it became outmatched by newer tanks, it was later repurposed for roles like reconnaissance and as a chassis for vehicles like the Marder III and Hetzer.
