Panel Dolly with Extra Tall Uprights – 2,400 Lb Capacity – Multiple Caster Options

Overview Standard-height uprights work well for most panel transport, but tall office partitions, full-height room dividers, oversized doors, and large sheet materials need more vertical support to stay stable during a move. This panel dolly solves that problem with extra tall 45″ uprights — nearly twice the height of the standard 26″ version — providing the additional contact area needed to keep tall, flexible, or top-heavy loads upright and controlled throughout the transport route. Rated at 2,400 lbs, this panel cart dolly shares the same robotically welded 16-gauge steel platform as the standard upright model, with the same 27½” width that fits through standard 32″ and 36″ doorways. Eight caster configurations — spanning 5″, 6″, and 8″ wheels in phenolic and quiet poly — let you match this panel dolly cart to your specific flooring and environment. Every unit is manufactured by Raymond Products in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a lifetime warranty. Features and Benefits The 45″ extra tall uprights are the defining feature of this panel dolly. Constructed from 1″ x 14-gauge welded steel tubing, these uprights provide nearly four feet of vertical support above the platform surface. This added height stabilizes tall panels, full-height privacy dividers, oversized doors, and sheet materials that would lean, flex, or tip on a standard-height panel cart dolly. All three uprights are removable, so the panel dolly converts to a flat rolling platform when the job calls for it. The platform is built from robotically welded 16-gauge tubular steel and steel plate, delivering the same rigid, consistent base as the standard model. The 25½” x 36″ load area accommodates panels, sheets, and flat materials across the full range of commercial and industrial widths. Both the platform and the uprights are coated with non-mar, skid-resistant red vinyl — providing grip to prevent load shifting, cushioning to protect material surfaces, and floor-safe rolling to prevent scuff marks on finished flooring. Two caster material options address different environments. Phenolic casters are the standard choice for hard, smooth floors like concrete and industrial tile. Quiet poly casters reduce rolling noise and are gentler on polished concrete, tile, hardwood, and laminate — making them the preferred option for offices, hotels, and noise-sensitive spaces. Optional brake kits are available for facilities with inclines or where secure positioning during loading is required. Available Caster Configurations Model 3845 — 5″ Phenolic, 2 fixed / 2 swivel Model 3847 — 5″ Phenolic, all swivel Model 3853 — 5″ Quiet Poly, 2 fixed / 2 swivel Model 3854 — 5″ Quiet Poly, all swivel Model 3846 — 6″ Phenolic, 2 fixed / 2 swivel Model 3848 — 6″ Phenolic, all swivel Model 3829 — 8″ Quiet Poly, 2 fixed / 2 swivel Fixed/swivel configurations provide better straight-line tracking over longer transport distances. All-swivel configurations offer maximum maneuverability for tight turns, narrow corridors, and crowded work areas. Larger casters (6″ and 8″) roll more easily over thresholds, expansion joints, and uneven surfaces. Applications Facilities that regularly reconfigure spaces with full-height partitions are the primary users of this panel dolly. Office buildings undergoing cubicle layout changes, schools converting multipurpose rooms with tall room dividers, and convention centers repositioning floor-to-ceiling privacy panels all benefit from the extra vertical support that prevents tall, flexible panels from leaning or tipping during transport. Construction and trades teams use this panel cart dolly to move tall door blanks, oversized drywall sheets, plywood panels, and glass or acrylic sheets through corridors, storage areas, and job sites. Moving companies rely on the extra tall uprights for king-size mattresses, headboards, and oversized furniture pieces that extend well above a standard upright. Manufacturing environments use it to shuttle tall work-in-progress panels, partitions, and sheet goods between production stations. Selection Assistance Choose this extra tall upright panel dolly when your primary loads are taller than 4 feet — full-height office partitions, tall room dividers, oversized doors, king-size mattresses, or large sheet materials. If most of your loads are shorter panels, banquet tables, standard mattresses, or general facility items, the standard upright Panel Mover (26″ uprights) provides the same 2,400 lb capacity at a lower weight and price point. For even heavier industrial loads up to 3,200 lbs, the Heavy Duty Panel and Sheet Mover series offers a larger 30″ x 54″ platform and reinforced 12-gauge steel construction. For tight storage areas and narrow aisles, the Narrow Panel Mover series provides a slimmer footprint without sacrificing load capacity. Need help choosing the right configuration?
