COBI Panavia Tornado GR.1 MiG Eater Set 5854

Using 527 high-quality COBI construction blocks you can build the famous British multi-role Panavia Tornado fighter with all of its extraordinary history! The given name "MIG EATER" (Polish: Migoeater Eater) refers to the famous story of the destruction of an Iraqi aircraft during the initial period of the First Persian Gulf War in 1990. The set also includes two unique figures of British pilots captured by the Iraqis during the same conflict. After their release, the pilots were photographed with the "Mig Eater" plane. Our set brings together these two very different and extraordinary military stories. The set has been carefully designed in the 1:48 modeling scale and complements the very rich collection of Armed Forces fighters. The set includes high-quality prints only, you won't find stickers here! The aircraft's painting scheme and characteristic markings refer to the Persian Gulf War (1990-1991). The model, just like the original, has a mechanism that allows you to change the position of the wings (variable wing geometry). It also has an opening cabin with space for two full-size figures, movable ailerons and wheels. The landing gear can be easily detached at any time to better display the plane on the brick display stand included in the set. A name plate is also included. Thanks to the intuitive instructions, construction is simple and will not pose any problems for less advanced builders. The set will definitely meet the expectations of aviation, military and block enthusiasts. The legend of the skies, which is undoubtedly the Tornado, will look great in your Armed Forces collection, regardless of how old you are! Panavia Tornados were variable wing multi-role combat aircraft used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) from the 1980s until 2019, when they were withdrawn from service. The Panavia Tornado was a twin-engine jet combat aircraft created by the Panavia Aircraft GmbH consortium, which included Germany, Italy and Great Britain. There were three main variants of Tornado aircraft in service with the RAF: GR.1, GR.4 and GR.4A. The GR.1 model was the first version introduced into service in the 1980s. Tornados were used as ground support aircraft, fighters and for attacks on air targets. They were capable of carrying a variety of weapons, including guided bombs and rockets. RAF Tornado aircraft have participated in a variety of conflicts and operations, including the Persian Gulf War, Operation Allied Force over Kosovo, Operation Iraqi Freedom and the fight against ISIS over Iraq and Syria. The last Tornado aircraft were withdrawn from RAF service in 2019. They were replaced by more modern Typhoon and F-35 Lightning II aircraft, which are also in the COBI collection! 527 high-quality elements Manufactured in the EU by a company with over 20 years of tradition The blocks meet the safety standards of products for children Fully compatible with other brands of construction blocks Blocks with prints do not scratch or smear and do not fade during play or under the influence of temperature Clear and intuitive instructions based on illustrations and step-by-step directions 100% prints, no stickers Block display stand A plate with the name of the set Two pilot figures Model dimensions (L x W x H): 36 cm (14.1") x 28 cm (11") 13 cm (5.1")
