Pale Preacher Rig

Pale Preacher Rig It was not unusual for cowboys in the old west to have mismatched gun leather. Especially working cowboys who didn’t make a lot of money to keep body and soul together. And they cared little beyond wanting their gear to be functional. Having matching, beautifully tooled and dyed leather was for the rich folks….In Pale Rider the mysterious Preacher shows this simple truth. His classic Slim Jim holster is a stark black while his belt is a deep antique brown.  Order as shown or choose to match up the holster and belt to the same color. As well if you want 18 loops on the belt we can do that instead of the 2 extra cylinder pouches. Select your rig choices as you put together your order. The Pale Rider Story A big mine operator, Coy LaHood (Richard Dysart) is using a bunch of thugs to terrorize a group of small-time gold miners into giving up their claims.  And into this rides a tall stranger (Clint Eastwood) with a big stick. After rescuing Hull Barret (Michael Moriarty) from a beating The Preacher accepts an offer of food and lodging from the “panner“. Coy LaHood can’t bribe the Preacher with a promise of a new church and an easy life. And the panners won’t sell their small claims to him.  So he calls in a special kind of law. Marshall Stockburn and his deputies are serious men and enforce selective laws by those who pay them. At the movies’ climax, it’s clear that there is something in the past between the Marshal and the Preacher. But what it is we can only guess. Pale Rider has many similarities to Shane.  From the mysterious stranger who can’t be controlled, to the men working together removing a massive boulder (in Shane it’s a giant tree trunk). And the infatuation, and hero worship of the teenage girl, (in Shane its a pre-teen boy).
