Pale Brindled Beauty - Extrafine Multi-Colored Merino Top

Named for the Pale Brindled Beauty, an early moth that stirs in the last cold weeks of winter, this multi-colored merino top gathers pale lavender grey and frosty white into one cool, wintry neutral. Drafted together, the shades pick up all at once and go to a heather with depth in it, one that shifts as light moves across a sleeve. Split it lengthwise first and the colours come away as separate runs instead, ready for stripes or a slow gradient. That is the choice: spin whole when you want the yarn even, split when you want the colour to show. Combed top, 19 micron, sold by the ounce and cut as one continuous length. Carding it or running it through a blending board mixes the colours into a single flat heather, which is a real yarn and a fine thing to want, but it is a one way trip. Spinning notes, full specs and the answers to the questions people actually ask are on the Extrafine 19 Micron Merino Top page. Same fibre in every colourway, so whatever you pick spins exactly like this.
