Painted Lady Canvas Wall Art

The base of this artwork is a sketch from the 1800s and were acquired from the Library of Congress. I'm not sure their original purpose, but the writing on them is from the original sketches. One was sketched for the Study of Botany and one was sketched for the Study of Painting. The original sketch included a rough detail of a branch in this lady's hand, and I completed the sketch with my own swashes of paint. I hope you love the fun play on an old and beautiful piece of history! ♡ Our Vintage Reproductions are found and curated by Lindsay and reproduced with permission to retain the quality and character of the original piece. This vintage reproduction was found in the Library of Congress. It was unsigned, and we honor and respect the original artist. We believe that mixing and matching vintage art with new creates a collected feel, so we're continually adding to our own LL collection to be customized by you!
