PACKARD 2.0: Shou Sugi Ban

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text c_id=”.vc_1431120618113″] PACKARD 2.0 by reSAWN TIMBER co. features CHARRED WESTERN RED CEDAR burnt in the Japanese style of shou sugi ban.  PACKARD 2.0 can be used for interior or exterior wall cladding and is standardly clear vertical grain grade.  PACKARD 2.0 can be treated to Class A Fire Rating for Interior Application – please call to inquire. PACKARD 2.0 is carefully charred, misted with water, cooled, brushed and then finished. The burning process accentuates the wood grain and creates varying colors when viewed from different angles and in different light. For interior applications, the wood is finished on the face only. For exterior applications, the wood is finished on the face only and sealed on the back & the two long edges. CHARRED CEDAR features shou sugi ban charred western red cedar in a range of colors from a stark, vertical grain black to a knotty natural brown. Western red cedar has been used as a consistent and high performing exterior wood siding for hundreds of years. reSAWN’s CHARRED CEDAR can be used in similar exterior applications and interior wall/ceiling cladding.
