Pacific Coast Fire Pit

Pacific Coast 30" Steel Fire Pit | Patina Products Pacific Coast Fire Pit by Patina Products The Pacific Coast Fire Pit by Patina Products is an industrial-grade, portable outdoor heating and culinary station engineered from 16-gauge cold-rolled steel for year-round environmental resilience. This equipment is specifically designed for homeowners and outdoor enthusiasts who require a mobile, wood-burning thermal source for maritime-inspired patio aesthetics, beach gatherings, or pre-game hospitality. By utilizing a heavy-duty steel chassis and a multi-functional safety perimeter, the unit provides a controlled environment for wood or charcoal combustion. The inclusion of professional-grade accessories—including a BBQ grill grate and spark screen—positions this unit as a versatile tool for those seeking an immediate, fully-assembled thermal and cooking platform that requires minimal maintenance and is backed by a five-year structural warranty against burn-through. ## Key Architectural & Performance Features 16-Gauge Cold-Rolled Steel Fabrication Cold rolling is a metallurgical process where steel is processed at room temperature to increase its yield strength and surface hardness beyond that of standard hot-rolled alternatives. This material choice ensures the 24-inch fire bowl maintains its geometric integrity under high-temperature thermal loads, preventing the warping or thinning that typically occurs in lighter-gauge consumer-grade fire pits. Integrated Safety Ring and Handling System The safety ring is a 30-inch diameter steel perimeter fused to the main chassis that serves as both a physical thermal buffer and a mechanical lifting point. This structural element provides a cooler surface for users to rest their feet or grip the unit for manual transport, enhancing the overall safety and maneuverability of the fire pit in various outdoor settings. Stationary Welded Leg Architecture The leg architecture utilizes industrial-grade welding to permanently bond the support struts to the fire bowl, eliminating the need for mechanical fasteners such as bolts or screws. This creates a single-piece structural foundation that resists the vibration of transport and prevents the instability or "wobble" often found in assembly-required kits, ensuring a safe center of gravity on uneven terrain. Natural Atmospheric Rust Patina Finish A natural rust patina is a controlled oxidation layer that develops on the steel surface to provide an organic protective barrier against deeper corrosive penetration. Unlike synthetic paints that may peel, flake, or emit hazardous fumes when exposed to open flames, this finish matures over time to improve the unit's aesthetic character while preserving the core material's density. ## Operational Suitability & Ideal Applications The Pacific Coast Fire Pit is optimized for coastal environments and mid-scale outdoor spaces where portability and immediate utility are prioritized. Its 50-pound weight and 30-inch footprint are engineered for efficient transport in standard passenger vehicles or truck beds, making it an ideal choice for beach use, camping trips, or tailgating at stadiums. The 16-gauge steel construction is designed to sustain the thermal output of seasoned hardwoods or charcoal, providing an effective heat radius for groups of 4 to 10 individuals in open-air social settings. This unit is highly suited for users who require a durable outdoor solution without the necessity for technical assembly or complex maintenance routines. Its low-profile 16-inch height ensures stability on various surfaces, including sand, grass, and stone patios. The inclusion of a comprehensive accessory suite—featuring a spark screen, weather cover, and BBQ grill—ensures the unit complies with residential fire safety standards while providing the versatility needed for both atmospheric heating and outdoor food preparation. The core functionality of the Pacific Coast Fire Pit is to provide a safe, portable environment for wood-burning fires and outdoor grilling. The deep steel bowl contains the fire bed effectively, while the safety ring prevents accidental contact with the high-heat zone. When utilized with the included BBQ grill insert, the unit functions as a charcoal-ready cooking station for coastal social events and residential gatherings. Why choose a welded cold-rolled steel design over standard fire pits? A welded cold-rolled steel design is architecturally superior because it eliminates mechanical failure points like loose bolts and offers higher heat resistance. Cold-rolling increases the density of the 16-gauge steel, making it more durable and resistant to burn-through compared to thinner, mass-produced fire pits. This results in a more stable, longer-lasting product that performs reliably in high-moisture environments and during frequent transport. How does the 5-year warranty protect the long-term investment? The 5-year warranty serves as a specific quality guarantee that the 16-gauge steel bowl will not burn through or fail due to rust during the first half-decade of use. This warranty mitigates the risk associated with outdoor heating equipment, which is often subject to intense thermal stress and environmental moisture. While the exterior develops a natural patina, the warranty ensures the physical structure remains sound and safe for operation, providing consumer confidence in its American-made construction.
