Oxford Socks Using Manos Alegría

The Design “For happy feet!” One more smart little sock joins our roster of basic sock patterns. With a super-easy short-row shaping method at the toe and heel, it’s easy to master, easy to remember, easy to start, and easy to finish. Worked from the toe up, these socks are started with a provisional cast-on—no seam at the toe! Introduced at the 2019 Puget Sound LYS Tour, we’ve had great fun playing with variations ever since. We thought Manos Alegría—‘joy’ in Spanish—would create a very cheery pair of Oxford Socks! A brilliant fingering-weight yarn, Alegría is a blend of superwash merino and sturdy polyamide. It’s ultra-soft, resilient, and easy to care for—perfect for socks. And with a range of rampant variegated colors and rich solids, these socks are bound for fun! The Details FINISHED SIZES Medium-width adult: Up to 10"/25cm foot on 8"/20cm cuff.
