Owl of Minerva -- Pendant in Bronze or Silver

The Owl of Athena, or Owl of Minerva: an ancient symbol of wisdom and knowledge. She is not boastful bird, nor does she hoard all the facts under the sun. She is a bird of the night; gentle darkness is her element, and her wisdom is of a more subtle and mysterious nature. Her bright eyes penetrate the darkness, and allow her to navigate the realm of dreams and intuitions. It was believed by the ancients that she had knowledge of the underworld and contact with ghosts and spirits. She is sacred to philosophers and poets, and a powerful symbol of magic and arcane knowledge. Our Owl of Minerva pendant is cast in solid bronze or sterling silver. She has blazing crystal eyes, and a little crystal lantern hanging from the branch upon which she perches. She includes a matching antique brass chain and a claw clasp, extender, and signature charm. The chain is adjustable between 16 and 20 inches, and can be further customized upon request.
