Owens Corning Lumber Structural Posts

Owens Corning® Structural Composite Posts are engineered for superior strength and long-term performance in exterior, load-bearing applications. Designed to replace traditional pressure-treated wood posts, these structural members provide exceptional durability, dimensional stability, and resistance to moisture-related failure. Featuring an advanced web-structured composite core, Owens Corning structural posts deliver high strength-to-weight performance while maintaining consistent, predictable dimensions. This internal web design enhances load distribution, reduces material waste, and eliminates the internal defects commonly found in wood posts, such as knots, splits, and voids. Available in 4x and 6x sizes with 8', 10', 12', and 16' lengths, Owens Corning structural posts support a wide range of deck, porch, pergola, and elevated structure designs. Unlike wood, these posts will not rot, warp, crack, or twist over time—even in ground-contact or high-moisture environments. The result is a safer, longer-lasting structure with reduced maintenance and fewer long-term concerns. Owens Corning structural posts are compatible with standard post bases, connectors, and fastening systems, making them easy to integrate into both new construction and replacement projects. For builders and homeowners seeking dependable structural performance without the drawbacks of traditional lumber, Owens Corning offers a proven, high-performance solution.
