Oudmazing

The scent The artist Try a sample first!  From its name, you’re thinking an oud bomb, right? Not exactly. This oud, from Malaysia, comes on early but it’s not the jealous type. It allows the deep, dark candied juiciness of stewed figs and smashed grapes come through for a sweet impression on the skin. A musky jasmine and dusty iris duet swirl together in a patchouli-leather-vanilla base, giving this fruity oud a velvety finish. Sniff again to see if you can find the sneaky saffron note. It’s a powerful scent, so start slowly, with a single spray.   Notes include orange, bergamot, pear, fig, iris, jasmine, patchouli, leather, oud, vanilla, pink grape, white musk.   Montale is the creation of Pierre Montale, who worked as an official perfumer for the Saudi royal family before returning to Paris to introduce Western perfume lovers to the rich world of Middle Eastern perfumery ingredients.
