Except My Genius

"I have nothing to declare except my genius." - Oscar Wilde Wilde is reported to have dropped this zinger upon arrival in the New York Customs House in January of 1882. According to the apocryphal story, the customs yank was not amused.  We love this quotation because it captures so much about Wilde - a combination of audacity and poise, delivered with a wink. Whatever your creative endeavors - a novel in the drawer, a late-night singalong, an outrageous mixed drink - they require a certain level of hubris. Would you ever achieve anything without indulging in a little Wildean arrogance? Banish the bashfulness, unpack your wildest ideas, and see where your genius takes you. • 11x14 inch art print with white border  • Premium, fine art paper made in New York  • Elegant eggshell finish • Ships in a a rigid, flat mailer.
