Original Slumber Bear®

We find ourselves in awe of this little bear and are inspired by the positive impact he has left on this world, helping babies transition from the womb to the world for more than 45 years… The secret is in the womb sound machine sound box. There you will hear an actual recording from inside a mother's womb, recorded just hours before birth. A doctor inserted a microphone into the woman's womb, placed it 8mm from her unborn baby's ear, and recorded the intrauterine womb sounds. Unlike lullabies, these authentic womb sounds are universally recognized by babies around the world, 'cause it's what they've heard for the past 9+/- months while in utero, hence the magic they work. We’ve witnessed hysterical babies become sleeping babies within seconds when comforted by the authentic womb sounds. Grateful parents have credited our bear with saving their Baby’s life while struggling in the NICU. Fractious babies settle instantly whether on the changing table or in the car. We've sent replacement bears, sound boxes, and SILKIEs by same day courier so frantic parents do not have to endure a night without “Mr. Bear.” Though you'd be hard-pressed to find a mother who'd consent to the recording today, it's pretty cool that the Slumber Bear's original intrauterine recording has been on display at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. for its groundbreaking technology. We thank her for her service to millions of families around the world since 1975.
