Organic Warren Pears

Featured in Martha Stewart LIVING and on Oprah Winfrey's favorite holiday gifts list, the Warren pear is in a class of its own. It has a classic European texture - soft and juicy with a melting mouth feel. The Warren pear is sweet to taste and avoids the typical grittiness found in most other pear varieties. Warrens are harvested in late August and are available until late October.  The Warren is to our pears as the Cal Red is to our peaches and the Flavor King to our pluots. This is Frog Hollow Farm's signature pear and for good reason. It’s too difficult to grow for most farmers, so it has never caught on commercially. But Farmer Al has never shied away from putting the time and effort into a fruit that tastes so good. Experience what pears should taste like! Hand-picked, ripened to perfection, and delivered right to your door, this is the fruit you can feel good about. We grow our Warren pears using organic and regenerative farming methods - this means a natural, thriving ecosystem at a farm conscious of its impact on the environment. How should you prepare your organic Warren pears? We recommend eating them whole - or slicing them up to enjoy with nut butter, cheese or honey. Or bake it in a pie or crisp, or poach it for an even softer, silkier texture. Organic warren pears deliver a source of fiber - ideal for maintaining gut health - and add vitamins C and K, plus potassium, copper and antioxidants to your diet.
