Organic Old Crow Cuppa Joe

Red Rooster Coffee's Organic Old Crow Cuppa Joe is Portland specialty roasting at its most approachable—a signature blend built to deliver richness and complexity whether you're pulling shots or brewing by the cup. This organic offering brings together carefully sourced beans into a full-bodied profile that balances fruit-forward sweetness with deep chocolate undertones, making it equally at home in your espresso machine or your morning pour over ritual. Tasting NotesThe cup opens with bright notes of blackberry and tart cherry that give way to a satisfying dark chocolate backbone, rounded out by the nutty, earthy complexity of trail mix. The body is substantial without being heavy—thick enough to cut through milk in a cappuccino, yet clean enough to shine in black coffee. Acidity is gentle and balanced, never aggressive, while the finish lingers with sweet fruit and cocoa. It's a blend that rewards attention but doesn't demand it, equally delicious when you're dialing in a perfect espresso or just need a reliable daily driver. Brew MethodsWhile Red Rooster specifically crafted Old Crow Cuppa Joe for espresso extraction—where its full body and chocolate-forward profile create exceptional cappuccinos and lattes—this blend's versatility is its secret weapon. In a V60 or other pour over, those fruit notes come forward beautifully with a clean, sweet finish. Automatic drip machines bring out the blend's easy-drinking character, making it ideal for brewing by the pot. French press amplifies the body and brings out the trail mix earthiness. If you're experimenting with multiple brew methods or sharing coffee with varied preferences, this blend adapts beautifully across the spectrum.
