Kentucky Wonder Pole Bean Seeds (Organic)

The Kentucky Wonder Pole Bean, scientifically classified as Phaseolus vulgaris, stands as a classic heirloom bean variety cherished by gardeners for its robust growth and flavorful pods. Originating in the United States, this cultivar gained popularity in the 19th century and has since been a favorite among both home gardeners and commercial growers. Recognized for its vine-like growth habit, the Kentucky Wonder Pole Bean displays vigorous climbing tendencies, requiring support such as trellises, poles, or fences to allow its long vines to ascend. Its lush green foliage interweaves to form a verdant curtain, creating a visually appealing addition to garden landscapes. The pods of the Kentucky Wonder Pole Bean are long, round, and stringless, boasting a crisp texture and tender quality. When harvested at the ideal stage of maturity, these beans offer a delightful, earthy flavor, making them a versatile ingredient in various culinary dishes, from salads to stir-fries. When planting from seed, providing well-draining, fertile soil and a sunny location is paramount. Plant the seeds directly into the soil after the last frost date, ensuring adequate spacing between plants to facilitate healthy vine growth. Regular watering, especially during dry spells, is essential for optimal development and yield.
