Organic French Roast

Centri Coffee's Organic French Roast is a rotating blend of carefully sourced beans from Indonesia and the Americas, roasted dark to bring forward the comforting, roast-forward flavors that define a classic French roast. Each batch is USDA Organic certified and roasted fresh daily in Portland—orders placed by 5am PST roast and ship the same business day. This is coffee for those who love depth and richness. The blend shifts seasonally, drawing from Brazilian naturals, Colombian washed lots, and Indonesian wet-hulled coffees, but the result is always the same: a substantial, full-bodied cup with pronounced caramelization and chocolatey sweetness. Tasting NotesExpect dark chocolate and burnt sugar on the palate, with a smooth, syrupy body that coats the mouth. The acidity is low and gentle, allowing the roast character to shine through without harshness. The finish lingers with subtle smokiness and a bittersweet cocoa note—like the tail end of a well-made espresso or the last sip of rich hot chocolate. Brew MethodsWhile this French roast performs admirably across multiple methods, it truly excels in a French press, where the fuller extraction highlights its body and chocolatey depth. It also makes a bold, comforting drip coffee and works beautifully as espresso for those who prefer darker, more traditional shots. Avoid ultra-light pour-overs; this coffee wants a bit more contact time to show its best side.
